Nethra school students in Varija Asram, Visakhapatnam, celebrated Helen Keller’s Birthday on 27th of June in school at 3 PM. The students were read many inspirational quotes of Helen Keller and were told the story inspiring story of her life.
The children were taught that visual impairment did not stop Helen Keller from achieving her goals and that determination to learn and discipline are they keys to success. The children were told the inspiring story of Hellen Keller’sย relationship with her teacher and Guru, Anne Sullivan. They were told about the importance of education and teachers.
Teachers read the biography of Helen Keller to the students of Nethra Vidyalaya and spent time commemorating herย contributions to the deaf and blind.
Helen Adams Keller (June 27, 1880 to June 1,1968) American author, political activist and lecturer. She was the first deaf blind person to earn a bachelor of arts degree.
