With the Mangalāśāsanams of HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji, we are delighted to share the wonderful news that Hamsika Siddigari, a B.Com student from Netra Vidyalaya, JIVA Campus, has brought great pride to Telangana State by securing the Gold Medal at the 9th IBSA (International Blind Sports Association) National Powerlifting Championship 2025.
- This prestigious event, a collaborative initiative by the Karnataka Blind Sports Association, was successfully held in Udupi-Manipal. Hamsika, an emerging and dedicated powerlifter, stood first in her category, showcasing strength, determination, and the spirit of excellence.
- ✨ This year’s championship was especially historic as it marked the first time women were included in the competition, with participation from 11 different states across India.
- We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Sports Authority of Telangana for their valuable support and training assistance, especially under the guidance of Sriman Dr. Ravikumar and Praveen ji, whose efforts played a crucial role in Hamsika’s success.
