Blind Students Tribute to Dr. Kalam-The People’s President & Missile Man of India

The students of Nethra Vidyalaya school for blind and visually challenged paid their tributes to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalamji, the 11th President of India at Ramakrishna beach. They were joined by students of various other institutes.

The students paid their heartfelt tributes and commemorated the former President’s contributes to India in the field of nuclear science, politics, economics, education and many more. The blind children read poetry and spoke about the greatness and simplicity of character that Dr APJ Kalam possessed.

The visually challenged and differently abled blind children of Nethra Vidyalaya Varija, recollected the  Dr. Kalam’s inspiring story of how he went from distributing newspapers after school during childhood to become the President of our country. He was awarded Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan and Bharat Ratna – the highest civilian honour. Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam made every day of his life count for all it’s worth, till very last breath he took yesterday.

The students gave speeches on the how Dr Kalam will remain an inspiration to them and everyone citizen of India and the world. The blind children reminded themselves and others around them of Dr Kalam’s VISION 2020 and his famous words “A dream is not that which you see while sleeping, it is something that does not let you sleep,” .

The students read our the poetry they had written as a tribute to the great leadership and contributions of Dr Kalam to the nation, which will always be remembered and go down in history and in our textbooks.

The nations mourns the death of a great leader!
