Poet and musician, Sant Surdas ji birthdayย was celeebrated on 23rd April at our Nethra Vidyalaya Varija campus. Sant Surdas ji was a famous blind Hindi poet, scholar, musician and great devotee of Lord Sri Krishna. In spite of being blind, Surdas ji was a very giftedย child.
The teachers of Nethra Varija taught the students the early life, history, famous works, dohas & poems, bhajans etc composed by the great saint Surdas ji. The students then sang bhajans and poems composed by the great 15th century saint. The students were tols stories fro the life of he great sain and His interactions with Lord Sri Krishna and His Guru Acharya-Vallabhacharya.
The program was organised by SKM (Shrusthi Kashamata Vikasam) Vishakapatnam.
