Life and time are world two teachers. Life teaches us to make good use of time, while time teaches us the value of life. Our Netra Students used the time in the best way and made it a great day.
A Challenging Event i.e. Inter College National Sports Meet for Visually Challenged, was conducted by Netra Vidyalaya Junior. & Degree College for Blind & IBSA – New Delhi at Saroornagar Stadium from 27th to 1st February – 2020. A coaching camp was conducted for south zone women athletes from 27th to 30th January 2020.
The organizers invited participation of Blind (B1) and low vision (B2, B3) athletes. The National Athletics Championship had competition in the conventional track, field athletic events.
Sports meet was inaugurated by Sriman David, General Manager IBSA New Delhi on 31st January 2020 and continued till 1st February 2020 evening 5 pm. Competitions were conducted separately for Boys and Girls. From Tamilnadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana about 90 students participated in different events.
Junior College students B Sai Chandu, T Santhosh, G Nagaraju and T Krishnaveni created the history by breaking National record in 100, 200, 400 metres Running, Javelin throw and Long Jump.
On 1st February 2020 the felicitation ceremony was held at Saroornagar Stadium from 7 pm to 9 pm, in the presence of H H Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji. Sri Devanadha Jeeyar Swamiji, Sriman Dr. Mukkamala Apparao from U.S.A, Sriman Purushotham Rao Secretary JIVA, Sriman T Krishna founder of Netra Vidyalaya, Sriman Ramesh Gupta President – Vikasa Tarangini Central Committee Sriman Venkateshwar Rao Incharge of Saroornagar Stadium also participated in the felicitation ceremony and blessed the students.
Our beloved Aacharya Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji distributed the medals to the winners and blessed them by saying that “They are Visually Challenged with inner vision and they are more focusing. They live in reality. They proved it by participating in this Challenging National Event”
The program was concluded by vote of thanks and National Anthem.
