The District Welfare Officer, Smt. Padmaja Ramana, along with her team, paid a visit to our Netra Vidyalaya College . During her visit, she engaged with students, staff, Netra Committee Coordinator Sriman Smt Krishna Kumari, Principal Sriman K. Kesavacharyulu, and Vice Principal K. Srinivasulu. Expressing satisfaction, she lauded the organization’s dedicated care for visually impaired students.

Smt. Padmaja Ramana was pleased to learn about the unique practices at Netra Vidyalaya Junior and Degree College for the Blind, where visually impaired students independently write exams without a scribe/helper. She also acknowledged the active participation of visually challenged students in NCC Parades.

Inquiring about the students learning methods, Smt. Padmaja Ramana posed questions to Netra Computer Lab Incharge Sriman D. Pavan Kumar Reddy, who explained that students read and write using screen reader software such as JAWS and NVDA.

The visit included a demonstration of the students talents, including their proficiency in typing skills, showcasing abilities that surpassed those of normal students. The students also impressed with their chanting of slokas, adding an enriching cultural aspect to their education.

Netra Committee Coordinator Smt. Krishna Kumari highlighted the students achievements in education, cultural activities, and National Para Athletics, where they earned gold, silver, and bronze medals. The visit concluded with Smt. Padmaja Ramana extending her best wishes to the students.
