Blind Students Celebrate Independence Day 2015

Students of Nethra Vidalaya College for Blind & Visually challenged celebrated India Independence Day with a lot of pomp and geity. The national flag was hoisted by HH Sri Sri Sri Tridandi Srimannarayana Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji. The occasion was graced by the presence of Sri Sri Sri Tridandi Ahobila Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamiji and Sri Sri Sri Tridandi Devanatha Ramanuja Jeeyar Swami along with chief guests SV Ranga Ramnujacharya Swami, Sri Raghavulu Garu and Sri Kotea Garu. The blind students of Nethra’s junior and degree college were joined by the students of the Vedic academy, teachers and staff. The celebrations took place at the JIVA campus where the three Jeeyar Swamijis along with the staff, teachers and chief guests enjoyed the many stage programs and performances by blind students of Nethra Vidyala.

The blind students of Nethra sang patriotic songs, performed plays and gave speeches on the history, freedom struggle, freedom fighters and honored the martyrs who scarified their lives for the independence of our country.

The three Jeeyar Swamijis along with the chief guests interacted with the students and spoke to them about the importance of education in the peace, progress and development of our country.

The celebrations were concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Tejovathi Garu.
