Visually challenged blind students win accolades for their stunning performance!!!

“So what if we are deprived of our vision, the light of passion for achieving success will remain ignited within us till our last breath”!!! This seems to be the prevailing spirit among the students of Nethra Vidyalaya, who are blind, but have left no stone unturned in making a difference in their lives and others Each and every time these blind students come out with flying colours, they give out a clear message to everyone  that they do not need sympathy, as they are well equipped individuals and equally-abled to face the challenges of the world. The blind students of Nethra have repeatedly proven, that being blind is not going stop them from realizing their dreams and achieving success. We are here to share a few, of many such success stories with all of you.

This success story is of a group of friends (Paruchuri Venkatesh,B. Shashidhar Babu, P. Nagendra Babu, P. Ramanjaneyulu)  , who were  a part of first batch of Nethra Vidyalaya College, who successfully completed their respective courses, and earned their college degrees.

It is rightly said that, with the blessings of guru (both spiritual and academic), one can achieve highest form of success and excellence in this universe. This is exactly what happened to these set of friends. All of them got selected and appointed  into government sector jobs, one after the other.

Following are the positions they hold today:-

  • Paruchuri Venkatesh- Has been appointed as probationary officer, for the post of Assistant manager at State Bank of Mysore in Rajmundhry.
  • B. Shashidhar Babu- Has been appointed as probationary officer, for the post of Assistant manager at State Bank of Hyderabad in Ananthapur.
  • P. Nagendra Babu- Has been appointed as junior officer in the Commercial tax department under the government of Andhra Pradesh at Tadepelli gudam, in West Godavari district.
  •  P. Ramanjaneyulu- Has been appointed as Junior officer, in department Higher education, under government of Andhra Pradesh.

These blind students of Nethra, who started off as poor, young and under privileged children, are today’s  successful, equally enabled and positive contributing citizens of India. These blind children have been able to successfully complete their education, find job, become successful adults, provide for themselves and their families an lead a healthy and peaceful life. This is possible only because people like you have supported them and Nethra Vidyalaya by lending your helping hands in the form of generous donations. Come and be a part of their happiness, and bring joy to lakhs of blind children across India. The blind too deserve a chance, just like any of us.
